Scope

The goal of this privacy policy is to inform the users of this website about the manner, extent and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the website operator [PKD am STädel GmbH Praxisklinik für Diagnostic] according to the German Federal Data Protection Act and the German Telemedia Act.

2. PURPOSE OF DATA PROCESSING

The processing of data is required by legal provisions and necessary to fulfil the treatment contract between you and your physician as well as to comply with resulting obligations.

It is therefore that we process your personal data, in particular your health records. This includes the medical history, diagnoses, treatment recommendations and examination results collected by us or other physicians. Other physicians or psychotherapists that treat you can hence also provide us with data for the same purpose (e.g. with medical letters).

Collecting health data is a prerequisite for your treatment. If necessary information is not provided, there is no possibility of treating you correctly.

 

3. RECEIVING YOUR DATA

We will only transmit your personal data to third parties if this is in accordance with legal provisions or if you have given prior consent.

Your personal data may especially be transmitted to other physicians / psychotherapists, laboratories, associations of physicians of the statutory health insurance system, health insurance companies, the medical service of the health insurance companies, medical associations and clearing agencies for private medical services.

The transmission of your data is mainly due to clearing purposes for the services you have been granted, to clarify medical questions and questions that may arise from your insurance status. In particular cases, your data may therefore also be transmitted to others entitled to receive it.

 

4. STORING YOUR DATA

We will only keep your personal data as long as it is necessary for your treatment.

Due to legal requirements, we are responsible for storing your data for at least 10 years after completing your treatment. In accordance with other provisions, longer terms of data storage can arise, e.g. 30 years in the case of x-ray records as per article 28 section 3 of the German x-ray ordinance for radiation protection.

 

5. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to be informed about your personal data. You are further entitled to request the correction of wrong data.

Under certain circumstances, you may additionally be entitled to the deletion and restriction of the processing of your data as well as to data portability.

The processing of your data meets legal requirements. We will only need your consent in exceptional cases in which you will still be entitled to revoke such consent for the future.

Furthermore, you have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority for data protection in charge if you find the processing of your personal data unlawful.
